🎥 Media: Seoul opens Galaxy Robot Park to explore robot-powered entertainment and K-pop experiences

Galaxy Corporation has opened Galaxy Robot Park in Seoul’s Gangdong district, introducing what it describes as the world’s first robot - themed entertainment park. Spanning approximately 16,500 square metres, the venue combines humanoid robotics, interactive attractions and K-pop-inspired performances as part of a broader effort to merge entertainment and technology.

Galaxy Corporation is a South Korean entertainment and AI company best known for managing K-pop artists and developing “enter-tech” projects combining media, virtual content and emerging technologies. The company has notably worked with artists including G-Dragon and has increasingly positioned itself at the intersection of entertainment production and AI-driven experiences.

Rather than positioning robots as industrial tools or technical demonstrations, the park presents them as performers and cultural experiences. Its central “Robot Arena” hosts choreographed K-pop shows featuring humanoid robots dancing to songs from artists including G-Dragon and Taemin. Galaxy plans to stage between three and six performances daily, targeting more than 1,000 robot shows annually and eventually exploring international tours.

Beyond performances, the park includes interactive experiences designed to familiarise visitors with robotics. Robot valets welcome guests, robotic dogs interact with visitors outdoors, and robotic arms create portraits in real time.

A humanoid boxing arena also allows visitors to control fighting robots through mirrored motion systems, transforming robotics into participatory entertainment rather than passive exhibition.

Galaxy Corporation describes the initiative as an “enter-techproject blending media, AI and robotics into a new cultural format. The company is already planning additional concepts, including robot fashion shows and robot-branded entertainment experiences, positioning the venue as a long-term platform rather than a standalone attraction.

From a strategic perspective, Galaxy Robot Park reflects South Korea’s growing interest in robotics beyond manufacturing. By linking robots with K-pop and live entertainment, the project explores whether humanoid systems could eventually become scalable performers capable of delivering synchronised shows across multiple markets. While questions remain about audience attachment and emotional engagement, the park illustrates how robotics may increasingly enter the entertainment sector as both technology and media content.
