📶 Telecom: Singtel and AGIBOT Forge Alliance to Launch Robot Leasing Service in Singapore
Singtel Enterprise has formed a strategic partnership with AGIBOT, the world’s leading humanoid robot manufacturer, to integrate embodied AI with Singtel’s advanced 5G network. The collaboration will introduce a robot leasing service for Singaporean enterprises and individuals by the end of 2026, marking a major step in democratizing access to sophisticated automation.

For Singtel, the deal represents a strategic pivot beyond traditional connectivity into robotics and AI, leveraging its 5G infrastructure to power data-intensive applications. By bundling robotics with network solutions, Singtel positions itself as an end-to-end digital transformation partner.
The “Robot-as-a-Service” (RaaS) model lowers adoption barriers by eliminating high upfront capital costs. Small and medium-sized enterprises stand to benefit significantly, with potential applications spanning retail, logistics, hospitality, and security. AGIBOT, which captured nearly 40% of the global humanoid robot market in 2025, sees this as a milestone in its international expansion, using Singapore as a launchpad for the Asia-Pacific region.
The initiative aligns with Singapore’s Smart Nation agenda, though it also raises important considerations around data privacy, safety, workforce impact, and regulatory frameworks that both companies will need to navigate as robots become more integrated into daily life.
